About Us

SeniorRightCare was founded in Bern in 2018 by legal eldercare specialist Dr. Matthias Vogel and social services consultant Sabine Gärtner. Both recognized the growing complexity of aging in Switzerland—where law, health, finance, and family often intersect at once. Our multilingual team now supports hundreds of clients across German-, French-, and Italian-speaking regions of the country. We are fully independent, and we act solely in the interest of the client—not insurance providers, not institutions.

Our Mission

To protect the rights, choices, and peace of mind of every aging individual in Switzerland, by offering legal clarity, practical solutions, and unwavering respect.

Our Team

Led by Dr. Matthias Vogel, a specialist in elder law with 20+ years of experience, and Sabine Gärtner, a former senior advisor for the Canton of Bern’s social service department, our team includes notarial lawyers, benefits experts, healthcare ethics consultants, and multilingual client advocates. We are united by a commitment to protect autonomy with grace and legal strength.

Empowering Seniors Through Clarity and Advocacy

SeniorRightCare operates at the intersection of legal advisory and personal advocacy, bridging the gaps between public systems, private obligations, and individual dignity.

Value to Clients Our services offer older adults and their families a structured, reliable way to manage life transitions, legal planning, and difficult decisions. We translate complex regulations into personal strategies, reducing stress and risk for clients and caregivers alike.

Target Audience We serve English-speaking Swiss residents aged 60+, expatriates retiring in Switzerland, adult children supporting aging parents, and care institutions that need legal guidance for residents or families. Many of our clients are dealing with multiple layers of complexity: international families, property ownership, cognitive decline, or mobility constraints.

Delivery Channels We offer consultations in person (at our offices or client homes), via video call, or through secure online messaging. All documents are delivered in both English and the relevant Swiss language for notarial and institutional use. We also partner with senior living communities, hospitals, and fiduciaries to deliver on-site group sessions and private consultations.

Revenue Streams We operate on a fixed-fee and subscription basis, avoiding billable-hour anxiety for clients. Individual services (e.g., will drafting, directive setup, benefit appeal) are priced transparently, while long-term clients may subscribe for regular check-ins, updates, and ongoing legal navigation.

Key Partners and Resources We maintain relationships with notaries, elder-care NGOs, tax advisors, social workers, and municipal service offices. Our internal resources include a document library tailored to Swiss cantonal and federal eldercare laws, as well as a client record system that ensures ongoing legal continuity even if family circumstances change.

Cost Structure Most expenses go toward legal staff salaries, translation and compliance, and home visit logistics. We keep administrative overhead low and reinvest in client support, education, and tech that improves accessibility for aging users.
